of 6/26/2019 SICLC Delegates Meeting
The meeting was called to order at 6:03 PM by President Jason Redrup. The Pledge of Allegiance was conducted, and the Presidents Message was read.
The minutes from the May meeting were approved.

Amanda Gomez, United Way: Introduced Aunja Staymates as the newly hired Engagement Coordinator/ Labor Liaison for United Way.

Secretary Treasures Report:
Teresa Johnson, Trustee filled in for Leonard Kelley(absent) for the TreasurerŐs Report.
She reported that the Education Committee is putting the finishing touches on a survey for Snohomish County residents to fill out at the fairs and other events. The survey can be used as an organizing tool.
Teresa also reported on the Mill Creek Festival which is July 12th and 13th and the need for volunteers to staff the booth. Festival of the River is August 11th and 12th and we will have a booth there too. Sign up are on back table.
She reminded everyone that we will be participating in the Everett 4th of July parade and if you are interested in walking in the parade there is a sign up in the back.

A recommendation from the Exec, Board to endorse Mike Nelson for Edmonds Mayor was submitted. It comes with a motion and a second. The motion passed.
A recommendation from the Exec, Board to endorse Garth Bell for Snohomish County Auditor was submitted. It comes with a motion and a second. The motion passed
A recommendation from the Exec Board to endorse Mary Dickinson for Lake Stevens City Council. It comes with a motion and a second. The motion passed.
A recommendation from the Exec, Board to endorse Brandy Donaghy for South Snohomish County Fire & Rescue. It comes with a motion and a second. The motion passed.
A recommendation from the Exec, Board to endorse Alicia Crank for Edmonds City Council. It comes with a motion and a second. Motion passed.
A recommendation from the Exec, Board to endorse John Nehring for Marysville Mayor. It comes with a motion and a second. Motion passed.
A recommendation from the Exec, Board to endorse Rina Redrup for Edmonds School Director. It comes with a motion and a second. Motion passed.
A recommendation for multiple endorsement from the Executive Board was brought to the floor for Tyler Verda, Jennifer Gregerson, Cecilia Wilson, Megan Dunn, & Louis Harris for the position of Snohomish County Council Position 2. It comes with a motion and a second.
After much discussion the Motion passed.
A recommendation for dual endorsement from the Executive Board was brought to the floor for Anna Alexander and Edirin Okoloko for Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Position #7. It comes with a motion and a second. After some discussion the Motion passed.

Adrian Camez, IAM 751A: Announced they have moved into the Labor Temple and are excited to announce that they are ramping up a large organizing campaign.
Hannah Fishman, SEIU 1199NW: The 4 unions, SEIU 1199NW, OPEIU 8, UFCW 21, and WSNA are doing a big rally at the Providence Headquarters Office on July 26 at 12 pm
Nalley Flores, OPEIU 8: Invited everyone to come help with Info Picket June 27th, flyers in back. Providence making employees pay for parking. Providence won over the NW Neighbor association about the parking situation with well executed PowerPoint presentation.
Michael Boe, IBT 117: Governor just signed their contract. Fully funded.
Mike Raughter, IBT 38: Durham contract in progress. Large push to support our grocery store workers in their negotiation. New Grocery Bag campaign. Sticker Campaign in the West Region is also going on. Informational pickets coming.
Polagaya McLaughlin, AFSCME 109: Update on airport contract. Contract finally came through with some of the larger issues resolved, not perfect, but will be working on some of the other issues that did not get resolved.
Jim Decaro, IBEW 46: Need more electricians. Too much work, not enough workers.
John Sainz, ATU 1576: First Transit in Lakewood has stopped bargaining. Filed ULP.
Gary Kanter, AFM 76-493: If you need to radio time, get in touch with me. Music is also effective at rallies; it is a great tool and animates events.
Bob James, NALC 791: Letter Carriers Food Drive, we 198,000 lbs., we are a little down, but not sure what is causing it. 71 Million lbs. at the National level. About Trade Up, is very positive and we will be seeing the benefits. Lake Stevens HS commended those going into the Trades at graduation ceremony in addition to those pursuing other careers.
